Dumi sa Katayan ....... Kayamanan!!!
Slaughterhouses act as the starting point of the meat industry where stock come from farms/market to enter the food chain. They have existed as long as there have been settlements too large for individuals to rear their own stock for personal consumption.
Slaughterhouse waste is one of the major pollutants that can cause pollution and considered as environmental problem. It can be examined with an integral multidimensional and systematic approach. The objective is to design a strategy to use such wastes as organic fertilizers; this as a solution to the pollution and social problems they provoke. The starting point was the conceptual shift of pollution materials from "waste" to "byproducts".
Since it is proven that slaughterhouse waste is the source of pollutants, this is inform every reader that slaughterhouse waste can be converted into a byproduct as protein - rich feed supplement on growing fattener pigs.
To determine the effectiveness of the feed supplement on growing fattener pigs out of the slaughterhousewaste an experimental design will be implemented.
The findings would be of great help to the community as well as to the producers and commercial merchandisers that it is good information for them to use protein - rich slaughterhouse waste than the other commercial protein supplement in feed formulation for growing fatteners. Thus, it gives an additional income to the community.
